TREATMENT FOR CRACKED TEETH
Cracked teeth can cause discomfort when chewing, sensitivity to hot or cold, and, in some cases,
persistent pain. When a crack extends into the inner portion of the tooth, bacteria can enter the pulp and lead to inflammation or infection.
Treatment depends on the location and severity of the crack. After a thorough evaluation, recommended treatment options may include:
• Placement of a custom crown to protect and stabilize the tooth
• Root canal treatment if the pulp has been affected
• Extraction only in cases where the damage is too extensive to repair
Early diagnosis and prompt treatment significantly improve the likelihood of saving the tooth and preventing further complications.
