DENTAL TRAUMA MANAGEMENT
Dental trauma refers to injuries to the teeth and surrounding tissues caused by accidents, sports injuries, or falls. Prompt treatment is critical to preserving the tooth.
Traumatic injuries may include:
• Chipped or fractured teeth
• Dislodged (luxated) teeth
• Knocked-out (avulsed) teeth
Injuries to developing teeth in children
Endodontic treatment may be needed to manage pulp damage and prevent infection. Immediate evaluation greatly improves long-term outcomes.
